Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring You've Got a Friend, a set of 5 stamps. If you have come here from Michelle Loncar's Blog you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.
We have over 50 consultants participating in the blog! I know that I can't wait to see what fabulous projects everyone has to share! Following the hop is easy- just click on the link at the bottom of each post and it will take you to the next blog!
For my first card, I used the "You Are the Best" image. I love the thick lines of the stamp. It makes it easy to trim. I stamped the image twice on pattern paper from Jubilee. Then I cut out the center piece and layered it onto the top. (see picture to the left). I created a longer 'ribbon' with cranberry cardstock and stamped it with the chicken wire stamp from Distressed Backgrounds. I layered it with another 'ribbon' from one of the Jubilee zip strips.
For my next card, I used the "You've Got a Friend in Me" stamp. I cut a shape from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge and stamped the imaged in Cocoa Ink. I stamped the image a 2nd time in Twilight ink and cut out the word "FRIEND" and layered on top of the cocoa image. I used a piece of cocoa cardstock from the new Paper Fundamental Basics (Z1939) pack that has a resist texture on it. I layered this piece over a piece of burlap ribbon. This gives my card a country feel. For both cards, I used the Durables Triangle Studs (Z1928).
I hope you enjoyed my two cards! Now it is time to hop on over to Judy Burger's blog and see what she has created!
