Embossing is the Boss!

Close To My Heart has five new embossing folders!  I was so excited when I learned that CTMH would now be selling these.  I couldn't wait to order mine and start using them.   Here is a card I created using the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.


I used the Damask (Z1927) folder with the Blush cardstock and the Stripe (Z1960) folder with Sweet Leaf.   I ran the cardstock through my Cuttlebug going against the grain to get the white center of the cardstock to show through.  The stamp is new for Spring and is Joyful Wishes (A1152).  I stamped it in Desert Sand and then used alcohol markers to color.   I also stamped the image in Blush ink and cut out words "JOY", "LOVE" and "DO" and adhered them on top of the same image.  I also colored and cut out two of the larger flowers and adhered on top of the same flowers.  Bitty Sparkles and Hemp Bakers Twine accent the card.

Now, I want to share with a cute way to make a gift card holder!  I used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to make this holder.  It was very simple!  The Cricut cuts the card and it folds so that you can slip a gift card inside! I set the cricut to cut at 5".  I recycled an old gift card so my card is a little thick.
