Congratulations with Freshly Made Sketches
I just returned from vacation to a long list of "To Do's". First up on the list was to create a card for my niece's baby shower that was today. Since I was helping to give the shower, I had done alot of the things needed before I left for vacation and I left the last thing - the card for the gift for last. So I got up early and created the card before I left for church this morning. First, I'll share the card I created and then I'll share some of the other things I created for the shower too!
I looked to Freshly Made Sketches to get me going. I can always count on their sketches for a great starting point. My niece is decorating the baby's room in an airplane theme so we decided to carry that theme out in the baby shower. So, of course, my card was an airplane theme also.
I used the Chevron Embossing Folder with the Whisper cardstock for the background. The striped piece is the Outdoor Denim from our new Paper Fundamentals Enchantment Assortment. I used the other side of this piece which has a glossy embossed pattern of the same design as the mat for my clouds. I colored the plane with our new ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. I added the Slate Diagonal Striped Ribbon and Silver Sequence as a final touch. The plane, clouds and banner are the from the Lifting Spirits (C1570) stamp set. "Congratulations" is from the set - Banner Wishes (B1438). Here is the sketch that got this card started.
I also made a banner for the shower.
I used the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge to cut the banners in Outdoor Denim Cardstock and Whisper. I ran the Whisper banners through the Cuttlebug with the Chevron Embossing Folder. The clouds were cut from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge as well as the letters. Slate Polka Dot Washi Tape give the banner a nice edge.
Here is a look at the table - Check out the runway created by my mom!
I created the centerpiece with the help of my daughters. It's an Airplane Diaper Cake!

A shower is not complete without cupcakes! I cut the wrappers from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge and of course - I had to add some embossing! This time I used the Polka Dot Embossing Folder! My friend Julie baked the yummy cupcakes and added the ribbon and cupcake toppers. I thought they turned out adorable!
Thank you for letting me share the Baby Shower pictures with you! Having the exclusive Close To My Heart Art Philosophy and Artiste Cricut Cartridges made prepping for the shower so much fun!
This is all so clever! From the super fun card to the downright huggable diaper cake! So, so fun! Thanks for sharing this with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
